32: When the Whole Sky Changed

Yesterday, the sky was clear.

No clouds.

Just a beautiful sunny day.

The forecast said rain would come the next afternoon. I heard it, but when I looked at the sky, it was hard to imagine. Everything looked open, bright, and still.

Then this morning, the sky had changed.

Clouds covered everything.

Not just one part of the sky.

The entire sky.

Overnight, something enormous had happened.

There was no noise.

No visible struggle.

No dramatic moment I could see.

No sudden display of force.

But while I was sleeping, the atmosphere changed.

Moisture gathered.

Temperature shifted.

Pressure moved.

Wind carried what I could not see.

By morning, the whole sky was different.

I stood there and felt the scale of it.

How much water is held in those clouds?

How much energy is required to form them?

How many invisible movements must come together to cover the whole sky?

It is far beyond what I can imagine.

And yet it happened quietly.

This made me think about God’s power.

Human beings often imagine power as something loud.

Fast.

Forceful.

Dramatic.

Obvious.

But God’s power is not always like that.

Sometimes it moves quietly.

Slowly.

Beyond what we can observe moment by moment.

And then one morning, we look up and realize everything has changed.

This gives me perspective.

Many problems in life feel large when I am standing close to them.

Work conflict.

Criticism.

Uncertainty.

Disappointment.

Fear about the future.

These things can fill my mind.

They can feel like the whole sky.

But when I look at the actual sky, I remember scale.

My problems are real.

But they are small compared with the One who moves clouds.

I also think about my own life.

For years, I wanted visible change.

Clear answers.

Open doors.

Quick direction.

But perhaps God was working more quietly.

Like clouds forming overnight.

Not rushing.

Not making noise.

Not giving me immediate proof.

But still moving.

My outer environment did not change much.

But inside, something was forming.

Peace.

Gratitude.

Faith.

Inner strength.

A different way of seeing life.

At first, I could not recognize it.

Then one day, I realized my inner sky had changed.

Yesterday the sky was clear.

This morning it was filled with clouds.

Nothing seemed to rush.

But everything changed.

If God can change the whole sky overnight without noise,

He can also change my life in ways I cannot yet see.

And maybe faith is learning to trust that quiet movement,

even before the clouds appear.
